October, 2012 Blog Report

This week’s post is going to be short and sweet.  It seems a good idea to let you in on the progress and development of Dr. K’s blog!  Ready? Here goes.

As of this post, I have created 780 posts on my blog, and received 1390 comments!  I have blacklisted two visitors for bad behavior, which is not bad considering how badly many people behave when anonymity is an option!   And I have received 123 private messages related to blog posts.

I’ve been writing this blog since 2007.  The blog currently receives between 1100 and 1500 unique visitors a week.   This year, as in previous years, the vast majority of my posts have to do with communication skills, with a few forays into technology (Apple!!) and political persuasion.

Now, I’ll be honest with you about how I feel about writing this blog!  Long story short, I constantly weigh whether it is worth it to continue or not.  If I had 5000 readers a week, continuing would be a no brainer.  But at 1500 a week, it’s a decision I have to keep making.  So if you know anyone who might benefit from reading this blog, please let them know, and pass it around.   Oh, and a comment now and then sure keeps the motivation churning!

Be well, I’ll be back in a week with a little more substance in the realm of communication, persuasion and positive change.
